Role Overview:
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of highly specialised production and automation equipment. You'll play a key role in minimising downtime, improving processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a variety of electrical systems and automated machinery
* Diagnosing faults and repairing control systems, PLCs, motors, sensors, and drives
* Working closely with the engineering team and production staff to ensure machinery uptime
* Participating in improvement projects and equipment upgrades
* Keeping accurate maintenance records and adhering to health & safety standards
* Attending regular internal and manufacturer-led external training courses
What We're Looking For:
* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / ONC / HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
* Proven experience in an Electrical Maintenance or Service Engineer role (preferably in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment)
* Competency in fault finding and repair of electrical control systems
* Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams
* A proactive mindset, with a strong focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement
* Flexible, team-oriented, and eager to develop professionally
