Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food production, ensuring that all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. As Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, manage staff, and maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Duties
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulations.
* Develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends while considering customer preferences.
* Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste to ensure cost-effective operations.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards.
* Ensure the kitchen is well-organised, clean, and equipped for efficient service.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
* Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive working environment.
* Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Previous experience in menu development and kitchen management is highly desirable.
