* This opportunity is for a Friday part time, 8am to 4:30pm with a 30 minutes unpaid break (8 hours)
A little about Luther Street
* Award winning GP surgery established a number of years ago and provides a holistic primary care approach to patients experiencing homelessness in Oxford City.
* We care for approximately 500 registered patients where we maintain a pro‑active approach for their medical needs facilitated by a comprehensive team that includes GPs, Practice Nurses, Social Prescribers, Mental Health workers, Drug and Alcohol workers and the wider practice management team. We also have an on‑site dental clinic provided by colleagues from OHFTs community dental team.
* Our appointments are 20mins long with time scheduled for completion of telephone calls and other admin such as bloods, document management, clinical lead areas i.e. QOF, Safeguarding etc.
* We also hold daily practice MDT meetings
* The practice uses EMIS Web, Docman and Accurx
Main duties of the job
* This is a face to face role based out of Luther Street Medical Centre in Oxford City. Please see the attached Job Description for further detail on the day to day clinical role.
* Limited or no parking on site but there are public car parks nearby, bus and cycle routes, including park and ride services which can be used with ease.
* Induction and regular support will be provided and prior experience of managing this patient population is not essential.
* There will be opportunities to lead in a particular clinical area, undertake audit and research.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Holder of MRCGP or Certificate of prescribed experience awarded by the UK JCPTGP
* Full registration, as maintained by General Medical Council
* Must be eligible for inclusion onto a local Supplementary Performers’ List
* Holder of Family Planning Certificate or DFFP
* Holder of RCGP Certificate in Management of Substance Misuse or equivalent
* Successful completion of Minor Surgery Course
* Experience of working in general practice as a principal or salaried GP
* Have an understanding of National and Local Health Service Policy
* Have an understanding of QoF
* Familiar with computer usage and prepared to work towards a ‘paper light’ practice
* Demonstrable interest in working with vulnerable groups particularly homeless people
* Demonstrate commitment to and understanding of the needs of homeless people
* Ability to prioritise your workload to achieve targets and timelines
* Ability to work independently and autonomously
* Experience of delivering Medical Services to an innercity diverse population
* with vulnerable groups i.e. homeless people, people with mental health problem
* Experience in managing substance misuse patients
* Experience of using EMIS clinical management system
