The Opportunity
Supply Desk is working in partnership with a progressive and inclusive secondary school in Chichester to recruit a passionate and skilled Art Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time role lasting until December 2025, with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent.
The successful candidate will join a well-established Art department and will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire creativity and support students in exploring a wide range of artistic media and techniques.
We welcome applications from qualified teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and unqualified teachers with relevant secondary Art teaching experience.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver creative, inspiring Art lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4
Encourage students’ artistic development, independent thinking, and confidence
Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear, constructive feedback
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Contribute to wider school life through extracurricular activities, exhibitions, and clubs

Candidate Requirements
A degree in Art, Fine Art, or a closely related subject (essential)
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred)
Experience teaching Art at Key Stages 3 and 4
Creative, adaptable, and enthusiastic about art education
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
