About the Role: Apex Resources are working on behalf of our client, a regulated legal services provider, to appoint a qualified solicitor or licensed conveyancer (with a minimum of 3 years PQE) to fulfil the statutory roles of Head of Legal Practice (HoLP) and/or Head of Finance and Administration (HoFA). This is a non-operational, compliance oversight role that does not involve day-to-day conveyancing work. It is ideally suited to a senior legal professional – perhaps semi-retired or portfolio-based – who can bring experience and authority to regulatory supervision. Key Responsibilities: * Formally act as the firm’s HoLP and/or HoFA, fulfilling duties as required by the SRA or CLC. * Oversee compliance and governance structures within the firm. * Liaise with the firm’s directors and regulators to ensure the organisation meets its legal and ethical obligations. * Review and help maintain regulatory documentation, systems, and internal controls. * Act as a named officer with the appropriate regulator and ensure ongoing good standing.
