Moog Wolverhampton is seeking a proactive and technically adept Quality Engineer to work a rotating shift pattern to provide quality engineering support to the operational manufacturing area of the business. You’ll play a critical role in assessing risk, ensuring process conformity, and enhancing product quality through hands-on inspection, collaboration, and problem-solving. This is a high-impact position ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, technical depth and cross-functional teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
* Contract review and dissemination of customer quality requirements into the business.
* Support the appropriate teams from a quality viewpoint and ensure quality requirements are understood and incorporated.
* The management and introduction of new contracts into the company from a quality viewpoint.
* Management of the customer interface on quality related issues.
* Day to day quality engineering responsibilities including:-
* Part Inspection
* Conformity Inspection
* Defect investigations / root cause analysis / 8D Investigations
* Corrective action / improvement introduction
* Responsibility for day to day Quality Assurance activities such as auditing, quality systems maintenance and improvement, where required.
What You’ll Bring
* The candidate should ideally be HNC/degree qualified in an engineering discipline.
* Able to work on own initiative without close supervision.
* Have experience in problem solving and corrective action implementation
* Have good communication skills for interfacing with departments and customers.
* Must have a drivers licence and be willing to travel.
* The role will involve overseas travel.
* Competence in the use of measuring techniques and equipment
* Aerospace experience and an understanding of Aerospace Quality Systems would be an advantage.
