We are looking to appoint a Manufacturing Supervisor for a reputable manufacturer in the west Yorkshire region, known for the staff retention and great benefits package. The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees day-to-day shopfloor operations, ensuring manufacturing activities run efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. Working closely with Operations and Engineering functions, the role focuses on coordinating people, processes, and resources to deliver production targets while driving continuous improvement. Roles & Responsibilities Track manufacturing performance against delivery targets and KPIs, proactively addressing issues, delays, or quality concerns as they arise. Ensure production documentation, work instructions, and engineering drawings are accurate, understood, and followed correctly prior to and during manufacture. Carry out regular inspections and audits of work in progress and completed products to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate operational records including training, competence, and production documentation. Champion continuous improvement initiatives, promoting efficient workflows, waste reduction, and adherence to lean manufacturing principles. Manage daily manufacturing operations by planning workloads, prioritising activities, and coordinating resources across multiple production disciplines. Supervise, coach, and support production teams to ensure safe working practices, consistent output, and high-quality standards are maintained at all times. Act as a key point of communication between manufacturing teams, engineering, and management to ensure alignment and clarity across operations. Skills & Experience Previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or engineering-led environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and health & safety requirements. Ability to interpret technical and engineering drawings. Proven leadership capability with the confidence to guide, motivate, and develop teams.
