Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and Nursing home settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities. Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents and clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation
* Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs
* Monitor and report any changes in the health or behaviour of residents to the appropriate healthcare professionals
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist with administrative tasks as required
* Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations
* Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues through effective communication
* Drive to various locations as necessary for home care visits
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential
* A valid driving licence is desirable for travel between care locations
* Proficiency in English is required for clear communication with residents and team members
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using healthcare software systems
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with residents and their families
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others

Pay: From £12.25 per hour
