HR Advisor Are you an experienced HR generalist looking for an exciting role in a dynamic organisation? MCS Group is recruiting an experienced HR Advisor for a leading local Manufacturing organisation, on an initial fixed-term 6month contract. The role As HR Advisor, you'll support employees across all areas of the organisation, providing practical, people-focused advice within a centralised HR team. This fixed-term role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of employment practices and a hands-on approach to building a positive and inclusive workplace culture. The main responsibilities Advise employees and line managers on handling workplace issues and resolving disputes, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and current employment legislation. Lead or support investigations where necessary, recommending suitable outcomes. Assist with the recruitment process by drafting job descriptions, shortlisting candidates, and arranging interviews to support a smooth and cost-efficient hiring experience. Support onboarding activities to help new employees settle in successfully. Collaborate with managers to establish and review performance improvement strategies. Contribute to the development and delivery of performance management systems, providing input to support staff growth and career progression. Evaluate organisational training needs and create learning initiatives that promote ongoing development and upskilling, helping to build a learning-oriented culture. Develop and implement initiatives aimed at boosting staff morale, engagement, and retention, such as recognition and reward schemes. Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the employee journey-from hiring and internal mobility to policy formulation-supporting an open and representative working environment. Ensure HR policies stay aligned with evolving employment laws and the organisation's values. Assist with writing, updating, and maintaining clear HR documentation and procedural guides. Collect and interpret HR data to identify trends and suggest improvements. Ensure accurate data management in line with Data Protection requirements, and provide admin support throughout the employee life cycle-from offers and departures to flexible work, parental leave, service milestones, and employee relations. The ideal candidate Previous HR generalist experience in a comparable sector Skilled in managing a wide range of HR activities, including employee relations matters Understanding of employment law across multiple regions CIPD-qualified or degree in a related field What's on offer?
