Project architect / senior technician with project running capabilities and good construction knowledge is required for our Kidderminster office.
HLN is an award-winning multi-disciplinary practice incorporating an innovative and experienced team of chartered Architects and Engineers. We are currently seeking motivated and ambitious staff for our office in Kidderminster. The Kidderminster office is a satellite of our Cardiff office, and we wish to see it develop its own autonomy in the coming years. The right candidate will be part of this evolution.
Role and Responsibilities
The applicant should have good design skills and be technically competent, consistently delivering high standards. You should be capable and confident to run projects, including client and contractor engagement across a variety of projects. In exchange, we will support your career progression.
1. Lead projects on behalf of HLN, including liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors.
2. Manage a small team and work independently with minimal supervision.
3. Manage and coordinate the design team and other design consultants.
4. Produce drawings and documentation as required using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, individually and collaboratively.
5. Prepare and coordinate detailed design and production information, including drawings and documents for tender packages and construction.
6. Monitor the quality and coordination of drawing information, ensuring project delivery aligns with the programme.
7. Ensure compliance with office quality standards.
8. Provide leadership to architectural assistants and technicians, including setting clear deadlines, managing risks, controlling costs, and maintaining communication.
9. Contribute to the design and construction process; attend client meetings as required.
10. Attend design team meetings as required and manage time effectively, identifying resource requirements.
