Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Room-Based Nursery Deputy Manager to support the day-to‑day running of the nursery. The successful candidate will work within a specific room while assisting the Nursery Manager in delivering high‑quality care, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting staff development.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Nursery Manager in the overall management of the setting
* Lead and manage a designated room, ensuring high standards of care and education
* Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare requirements are met
* Support, mentor, and supervise nursery staff and students
* Contribute to staff appraisals, training, and development plans
* Build strong relationships with parents and carers
* Ensure children’s learning and development records are accurately maintained
* Promote inclusive practice and equal opportunities
* Assist with planning and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
Requirements
* Level 3 (or above) qualification in Childcare/Early Years
* Previous experience in a senior role
* Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team
* DBS- update service
