What you'll be doing:
Duties will include responding to and investigating complaints related to nuisance, fly tipping, pests, stray dogs, animal welfare, and other environmental issues and offences. The post holder will be required to take formal action, including the service of financial penalties and prosecution. The role will also be responsible for discharging the Council's duties in relation to public health burials and administering the Council's stray dog service.
In addition, this work could include inspections and site visits to ascertain compliance with applicable environmental legislation, as well as any other legislation, codes of practice, and regulations used or applied within the remit of the role and the service's responsibilities.

Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1st April each year, subject to six months' service in the post, until the maximum spinal column point of the level has been reached. The payment of annual increments is not automatic and is subject to satisfactory performance as assessed by your Director.
