Student Engagement Mentor Location: Peterlee Working hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm (Monday to Friday) Contract type: Long term, temporary Leader Education are seeking a passionate and proactive Student Engagement Mentor to join a welcoming and highly supportive SEND school. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a specialist setting supporting children and young people aged 2–19, helping them engage with learning and reach their full potential. The school supports pupils with a wide range of additional needs, including autism, complex learning difficulties, communication needs, SEMH, and physical disabilities. With a strong focus on inclusive, personalised education, it offers a safe, nurturing environment where every pupil is valued and encouraged to succeed. The academy is looking for someone with experience working with children or young people (ideally within SEND), who bring strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and a positive, team-focused approach.
