About The Role
The Finance Officer supports the day-to-day running of the finance function, helping maintain accurate financial records and contributing to reliable monthly reporting. Duties will include:
* Transactional Finance Support – Processing supplier invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and managing finance queries through the shared inbox to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Accounts Receivable & Reconciliations – Supporting customer reconciliations, assisting with debt collection activities, and performing regular bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
* Month‑End & Management Accounts – Assisting with month‑end close activities, preparing supporting schedules and contributing to the production of management accounts.
* General Finance Operations – Providing ad‑hoc finance support across the team while gaining exposure to broader accounting processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong IT skills, including accounting software and Microsoft Excel
* Exposure to management accounts preparation
* Impeccable attention to detail and high level of accuracy
* Ability to organise, prioritise, and meet deadlines
* Effective communication skills
* Comfortable taking ownership of own workload within a wider team
* AAT Level 3 (or equivalent), or currently studying towards
Although not necessary, it would be beneficial to have experience using Sage 200 and/or Microsoft Business Central. Experience within a regulated, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or similar environment would also be ideal.
