SEMH Teaching Assistant (Secondary) Location: North Shields, North Tyneside Salary: £75 - £100 per day Contract: Full Time, Temporary About the Role: GSL Education are seeking an empathetic SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs in secondary schools in North Shields. Job Summary: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH challenges. Assist in the implementation of support strategies and interventions. Promote positive behavior and emotional well-being among students. Job Responsibilities: Support the monitoring and recording of student progress. Collaborate with teaching staff to create a supportive learning environment. Foster positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and participation. Qualifications: Experience working with students with SEMH needs in an educational setting. Understanding of strategies to manage challenging behavior. Compassionate and patient approach to supporting student needs. Note: Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
