Main Responsibilities
As a Retail Security Officer, you will:
* Provide visible deterrence and respond to incidents
* Complete incident reports and liaise with local authorities
* Carry out guarding duties in-store and support policy-compliant searches when required
* Patrol shop floors and deter criminal activity
* Assess vulnerabilities, identify risks, and work proactively to minimise them
* Communicate with management and authorities as applicable
* Digitally report incidents and use devices for daily activity planning
* Provide detailed and legible incident reporting to assist the Client and Local Authorities
The Person
You should be a confident communicator capable of providing detailed verbal and written accounts of incidents. You will be welcoming and patient with customers and able to handle conflict professionally.
Required Experience and Qualifications
• You must have a valid SIA licence to apply for this role. A previous Retail Security role is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Applicants must be able to provide a full 5-year checkable work or education history. If selected for interview, bring right to work documents and a recent proof of address.
• You must have a current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence to apply for this role.
