Trainee CNC Programmer Setter Operator

We’re currently seeking an experienced CNC Miller Setter Operator looking to take their next step into CNC programming/ CADCAM Porgramming. Working on the production of one-off and low-volume prototype components. This is a hands-on, rewarding role for someone who enjoys variety, precision work, and the challenge of machining bespoke parts where no two jobs are the same. Our work is diverse and technically engaging, often involving complex components that require a high level of skill and attention to detail. Any Programming experience is advantageous for the right person programming training can be provided.
Trainee CNC Programmer Setter Operator Key Responsibilities:
* Setting and operating a range of 3 and 4 Axis CNC Millers
* Work from engineering drawings and specifications to deliver accurate, high-quality results
* (Training can be given) Generate CNC programs either offline using CAD/CAM software or directly at the machine using Fanuc, Haas, Heidenhain, or Hurco controls
* Set up machines, load materials, and run test pieces to verify accuracy before full production
* Monitor machining operations and make real-time adjustments as needed
* Inspect finished components to ensure they meet required tolerances and quality standards
* Perform daily maintenance and general upkeep of machinery
Trainee CNC Programmer Setter Operator What We’re Looking For:
* Strong CNC Setting experience ideally with knowledge of programme editing
* Confident working from detailed technical drawings and using precision measuring tools
* A methodical and detail-focused approach to producing high-spec, low-volume parts
* Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

* £16.00-£17.50 (Pay reviewed with skillset progression)
* Overtime paid @ x1.5

* 07:30-16:30pm Monday-Thursday / Friday 12:30pm finish
