Job Description
We are a leading main contractor delivering complex, large-scale construction projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take a key role on major schemes, with a strong focus on superstructure, large steel frame, and groundworks packages.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of significant construction packages from pre-construction through to completion. You will work closely with commercial, design, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Overall management of superstructure, steel frame, and groundworks packages
* Planning and programming works in line with project milestones
* Managing subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring performance and compliance
* Overseeing health & safety, quality assurance, and environmental standards
* Coordinating with design teams to resolve technical issues
* Monitoring cost, progress, and risk, reporting to senior management
* Driving programme certainty and high standards of workmanship on site
About You
* Proven experience as a Project Manager with a main contractor
* Strong background in superstructure, large steel frame, and groundworks
* Track record of delivering large, complex construction packages
* Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills
* Strong commercial and programme management awareness
* SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid (desirable)
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (preferred)
