The Best Connection are seeking to recruit HGV Class 2 (LGV C) Drivers to work with their client based in Consett. Our client delivers steel products. Although some manual lifting will be involved, the majority of stock is forklifted off for the Driver.
The Role:
* Multi-drop deliveries of steel products between Consett and Ashington.
* Strapping down and securing steel products.
* Majority of deliveries are forklifted off, but some handballing may be required.
* Typical day can include around 10-15 drops.
* Ensuring efficient and accurate deliveries to customers within set timeframes.
* This is a customer-facing role, so professionalism and a friendly attitude are essential.
The Candidate:
* Must hold a valid UK Class 2 (LGV C) driving licence, in date CPC and Digi card.
* Must pass a drug and alcohol test prior to starting.
* Minimum 2 years of commercial Class 2 driving experience required.
* Smart appearance with a positive, customer-focused approach.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Hours & Pay:
* Monday to Friday shift pattern.
* 07:00 AM start time.
* £14.50 per hour (PAYE) for first 8 hours worked.
* £21.75 per hour (PAYE) after first 8 hours worked and all hours on a Saturday.
* £29.00 per hour (PAYE) Sunday and Bank Holiday rate.
