Job Description
A well-established and growing manufacturer of high-performance polythene film packaging is looking to recruit a reliable and hard-working Technical Machine (extrusion) Operator to join its manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career in a stable, team-oriented environment.
Role Overview
As Technical extrusion Operator, you’ll support the Extrusion Team Leader in the safe and efficient operation of extrusion lines. Your role will be key to ensuring smooth production, accurate packing, and maintaining quality standards throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Team Lead with machine setup and running
* Load raw materials and monitor output quality
* Pack, palletise, and label finished products
* Perform basic visual checks (width, thickness, clarity)
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace
* Assist with roll changes and machine cleaning during changeovers
* Communicate effectively with team members to maintain workflow
* Report any faults or safety issues to the shift supervisor
* Help meet shift production targets and deadlines
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting (preferred but not essential – full training provided)
* Team player with a strong work ethic
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
* Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts
