Senior Quality Engineer
Location: Weston‑Super‑Mare
Salary: Up to £40,000 + excellent benefits
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well‑established automotive manufacturer that supplies components to several major vehicle brands. The company has a strong reputation for engineering quality and continuous improvement, and they’re now looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join their team.

This is a hands‑on, varied role where you’ll play a key part in maintaining quality standards, leading investigations, and ensuring compliance with recognised automotive and manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Investigate and resolve quality issues using 8D and root cause analysis.
* Support NPI and APQP activities during new process development.
* Lead and support internal and supplier audits.
* Maintain documentation, control plans, PPAPs, and inspection processes.
* Provide production support and liaise with customers and suppliers on quality concerns.
* Coordinate warranty reporting and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
* Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality.
* Strong knowledge of IATF16949 and automotive quality tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, etc.).
* Experience in automotive or aerospace manufacturing.
* Skilled in CMM use, GD&T, and calibration.
* Audit trained (Lead Auditor).
* Confident communicator with strong problem‑solving and organisational skills.
