As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
An opportunity has arisen to recruit an experienced physiotherapists to lead the Orthopaedic inpatient AHP Team within Borders General Hospital. Leading and working in a multi-disciplinary team, the post holders will support patients in the acute setting to rehabilitate following both elective surgery and Trauma.
The post has a mixture of both clinical and managerial responsibilities requiring the post holder to have skills in both areas.
Extensive experience in Orthopaedic rehabilitation is essential. The post requires reporting on a number of Orthopaedic pathways as well as line managing both Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy staff from bands 3-6.
