Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Leader Education are recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a SEND primary school in Gateshead.
The school supports pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will:
* Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one
* HLTA qualification
* Previous experience working with SEND or vulnerable individuals
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Follow personalised curriculums and care plans to meet pupil's requirements
* Work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively
* Participate in the planning and implementation of the curriculum through lesson planning and delivery
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for pupils
