Royal Caribbean Group are now looking for a Commercial Analystto join our Business Strategy team.
This role is a full-time role based in Weybridge, UK.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary purpose of the Commercial Analyst role is to provide proactive commercial insights & analysis with a focus on supporting the commercial aims of the organisation. The role will manage the core day-to-day responsibilities of delivering commission plans and forecasts for the trade channel.
Distribution Strategy:
* Support the implementation of EMEA’s distribution strategy by delivering the required commercial & commission plans and forecasts
* Work with Commercial Manager & Strategy Director to financially model past, current and future channel mixes, developing targets and goals to support business strategy
* Work with leadership to determine short and long terms goals for the various channels to deliver business needs and cost of sale optimisations
* Produce insights to support investment decisions and evolve future distribution strategies
* Monitor performance KPIs to assess cost efficiency goals at market level
* Maintain a strong awareness of overall sales and marketing strategies to ensure alignment between the commercial and broader business strategy
Commercial Agreements:
* Develop the outline for each scheme at partner and market level with recommendations for commission targets and business goals
* Prepare all necessary supporting information and work to facilitate informed decision making and effective roll out of terms
* Ensure efficient execution and maintenance of all Annual Seasonal & Tactical schemes including target setting, ongoing reporting of partner performance and result
* Provide post activity analysis on commission schemes to help ensure continuous improvement
* Support negotiations with senior sales stakeholders to ensure commercial targets are aligned and a consensus is reached on future sales expectations
* Play a supporting role in commercial planning meetings with the markets to maintain an always on approach to continuous improvement
Reporting & Insights:
* Provide regular weekly reporting and dashboards to support day to day operation and decision making for trade & direct sales teams.
* Model past current and future channel mix including topline distribution channel
* Provide agreed external reporting to support all commercial activities including performance vs target details for trade partners
* Work with sales team to unearth channel trends and strive to improve understanding of ROI on all investment activities to support investment decisions and future distribution strategy
* Respond to ad hoc analysis needs as they arise to support business decisions
Other:
* Attend and support key external sales team meetings as able
* Attend and support key commercial meetings and events across EMEA as required
* Support key projects and initiatives as they arise in the business
* Compile business and trade partner performance updates as required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial environment
* Experience of using PowerBI
* MS Excel to advanced level
* Strong knowledge and experience using MS PowerPoint and Word
FINANCIAL/QUANTITIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads the process to define the optimal spend of EMEA’s $6.6m annual override commission schemes.
Work Environment:
Occasional travel may be required.
