Anderson Knight are delighted to be supporting an established and highly respected service sector organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead financial control and reporting across a multi-brand operation. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a senior hands-on role with responsibility for statutory reporting, monthly management accounts, audit, VAT, cashflow and team leadership. The position offers excellent exposure to group finance, senior stakeholders and continuous improvement initiatives within a complex, high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for: * Full ownership of monthly P&L reporting and period-end close * Preparation of annual statutory accounts in line with group reporting deadlines * Balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings * Leading and coordinating the annual external audit * Ensuring compliance with IFRS and relevant accounting regulations * Oversight of revenue recognition and cost accounting, including liaison with public sector bodies for concessionary revenue * Cashflow management and coordination of payment runs * Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns * Driving continuous improvement in financial controls, processes and systems * Providing ad hoc financial analysis to senior management and group finance * Line management and development of two finance team members Skills, Experience & Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will have: * Fully qualified accountant (ICAS, ACCA, ACA or CIMA) * Strong technical accounting knowledge with practical application experience * Excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels * A proactive, organised and methodical approach to workload management * Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills * Experience with management reporting and financial analysis This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Finance Manager looking to take ownership of a broad financial remit within a stable, well-structured organisation offering visibility, responsibility and long-term career development
