Overview
This is a split post within the Psychosis team and community clozapine clinic. The Psychosis Team includes 4 pathways: Assertive Outreach, Psychosis, Early Intervention in Psychosis, and At Risk Mental State. We are seeking individuals who are highly motivated, with experience of working with individuals with a range of mental health problems, particularly psychosis. The postholder should have strong knowledge of physical health monitoring and outcomes, experience in monitoring side effects, and demonstrated parity of esteem. The postholder should also have a strong knowledge around medicines, in particular antipsychotics, Clozapine and the contraindications with other medicines.
We offer strong clinical support, supervision and multidisciplinary teamwork. We pride ourselves on being a supportive team that welcomes innovation. The Trust has a well-established appraisal and supervision structure and actively encourages continual professional development.
The working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (some flexibility required) and excluding bank holidays. Due to the large geographical area of North Lincs, it is essential that applicants are able to efficiently and effectively move around the area to deliver the interventions in a timely manner.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our team as a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse. The right candidate will be enthusiastic and a highly organised mental health professional who is able to provide high quality nursing care, assessment and treatment.
The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive Community Mental Health Nursing Service across a whole range of clients experiencing mental ill health within the psychosis pathway. The service will be delivered in collaboration with representatives from other agencies and therefore the ability to work independently and with partner agencies is essential.
It is essential that applicants can demonstrate post registration experience as an RMN, which may include inpatient and community settings.
