C++ Developer - Permanent - Hybrid - Central London

About the Role
A global trading organisation is looking for a Senior C++ Developer to join their team and be responsible for the design, development, and support of systems and services for their next trading platform.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with business analysts and architects to review and understand complex business and technical requirements.
* Create high quality documentation including detailed technical, functional and unit test specifications.
* Design, develop, debug, implement, test and maintain software solutions, applications and services.
* Perform thorough unit testing of developed software.
* Contribute to effective and efficient 3rd line application support for production systems including the provision of permanent remediation.
* Perform and participate in peer reviews of solution designs and associated code, aiming for enhanced quality to deliver efficient, flexible, robust and maintainable solutions.
Essential Requirements
* A minimum of 3 years commercial experience in systems analysis, design, and development.
* Comprehensive knowledge of designing and building server-side C++ applications, ideally on RedHat 7 or later.
* Proven experience of developing large scale mission critical, low latency or fault tolerant systems.
* Experience of software development methodologies and working in a structured environment.
* Knowledge of financial services, derivatives or trading in an exchange, sell-side or front office environment would be highly beneficial.
* Experience of developing low-level, high performance systems.
* Familiarity with Service Orientated Architecture, concurrency models and threading, multicast messaging or FIX message protocols would be advantageous.
Key Skills: C++, Red Hat Linux (ideally V7 or later), Low Latency/High Performance trading applications/platforms.
