We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Dovegate, a category B Prison located in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without compromising on efficiency and quality. Hours are 37.5 hours per week, working from 07:00 to 18:00 across 3 days on a rolling rota. You will work one in four weekends from 07:45 to 18:15, including some bank holidays. Part-time hours can be considered.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing outstanding, patient-centered care by seeking out, listening to, and acting on patient feedback to ensure care is personalized and informed by what matters to them.
* Focusing on delivering a safe and secure medicines management service, maintaining patient medical records to the agreed standard, and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed.
* Administering medicines and analyzing cost-effective prescribing in accordance with our health in justice medicines policy.
* Inspiring excellence by forging strong links within our teams, partners, and stakeholders.
* Promoting best practice, evidence-based care, and continuous quality improvement, fostering a culture of shared learning.
* Sharing information related to pharmaceutical products, medicines optimization, drug regimes, medicines legislation, and general health education to keep the multidisciplinary healthcare team well-informed.

Qualifications include:
* NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC, or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up-to-date Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience

Salary ranges from £28,247 to £32,346 per annum, depending on experience.
