Care and Support - Boclair Care Home. Contract: Full Time and Part Time. Salary: £12.70 Per Hour. Shift Type: Nightshift. Contracted hours: 22 - 44 hours.
This luxurious, private care facility is situated in the affluent suburb of Glasgow. The care home offers elegant accommodation for up to 80 residents along with outstanding Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care.
As a Care Assistant, you’ll be a key member of the care team, supporting residents with their daily routines, promoting independence, and helping ensure their overall health and happiness are prioritized each day.

What You’ll Do
* Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, from getting dressed to staying active, while encouraging independence and positive choices.
* Personalized Care: Follow and support each resident’s personalized care plan with hands-on help and attention to individual needs.
* Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents’ health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
* Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident in every interaction.
* Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff.
* Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces; respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
* Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
* Spread Smiles: Bring joy to residents’ lives and contribute to a positive atmosphere.
About You
* Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
* Experience: Ideally, at least 6 months as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with transferable skills and a passion for care.
* Passion: Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering excellent service.
