Talent Acquisition Advisor – Residential Conveyancing

About the role
The Residential Conveyancing Assistant (or CILEX Legal Executive) will support the Residential Conveyancing team in Darlington, working closely with the fee earner and property executives on all administrative duties.
Key responsibilities
* Assist the fee earner in the management of caseload, dealing with file‑related queries face‑to‑face or by telephone.
* Support the fee earner in the maintenance of purchase, sale, remortgage, transfer of equity (freehold and leasehold) files by effective file management.
* Answer incoming calls, take instructions, conduct letter and telephone enquiries, and follow through any actions where required.
* Provide full support to the fee earners – collating, sending and checking documentation to all parties involved in transactions.
* Use the correct practice procedures and systems, ensuring cases are managed effectively and in accordance with firm standards and legal requirements.
* Ensure clients and referrers receive the best possible service at all times and cross‑sell services from other departments by identifying appropriate opportunities.
* Deal with incoming and outgoing post for the department, ensuring all documentation is received from various parties involved in transactions.
* Verify client identification in accordance with the Money Laundering policy.
What we’re looking for
* CILEX or Licensed Conveyancer qualification is preferred.
* Previous experience working within the residential property sector is essential, be it within a legal conveyancing department or a similar property‑related role.
* Strong typing skills and competence in Microsoft systems (Excel and Word) and email systems, portals and other IT.
* Good spoken and written English skills and a standard of education.
* Ability to work well individually as well as part of a team, with initiative and a positive attitude.
* Adherence to firm procedures and respect for client confidentiality at all times.
