The Role
As part of our exciting and strategic growth, we are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team on a wide variety of bespoke furniture projects.
The ideal candidate must have experience and knowledge of manufacturing high quality bespoke furniture and/or cabinet making.
Highly organised, detail orientated and the ability to multi-task, you will be responsible for preparing quotations and cost estimates.

Main Duties
* Prepare detailed cost sheets for project enquiries including mixed materials such as stone, glass, metalwork, joinery, finishing and upholstery.
* Liaise with Directors and work closely alongside the project and production teams for planning and scheduling of orders accurately, whilst updating the relevant schedules and systems.
* Develop existing and new supply chain, whilst maintaining supplier library.
* Liaise with key suppliers, raising purchase orders, whilst monitoring and controlling costs, budgets, and timelines for effective procurement.
* Sourcing and coordinating products, components, contractors, and materials as part of the order fulfilment, liaising with key departments of any changes.
* Budget controls
* Provide support to sales and production teams where necessary.
* Liaising with clients on enquiries
* Liaise with sales and production teams on clear handover of secured orders.
* Attend weekly production meetings.
* Maintain daily organisation of files and documents, both digital and hard copy.
* Hands-on approach to all aspects of the role.
* Implementation of good housekeeping.
Skills & Experience required.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience of estimating in manufacturing bespoke furniture and cabinetry is essential or be able to demonstrate a track record in a similar position.
* Flexible and ability to adapt to changing work priorities.
* IT literate, with excellent computer and administration skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
* Knowledge of CAD/Solidworks and ability to read and understand drawings.
* Extensive knowledge and experience of combined fabrication and materials across; cabinet making, metalwork, glass, stone, upholstery and finishes.
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage and provide support where required.
* Strong external and internal communication skills, with a high level of numeracy and literacy in English.
* Excellent time keeping and ability to meet deadlines.
* Ability to work under pressure both individually and as part of a team.
* Strong commercial outlook, with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrate a desire for self-improvement and enthusiasm to learn new skills.
