The Role
HTSI, the Financial Times multi award‑winning luxury lifestyle magazine, is looking for a deputy picture editor to work alongside the picture editor. The role includes commissioning portraits and still‑life photography, picture research and associated administration. You will report into the picture editor and be assisted by a picture researcher. The successful applicant will have a proven track record in a similar role on a quality consumer magazine. HTSI has 42 print issues a year, as well as a website and an iPad app with daily content. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
What We Are Looking For
* Experience commissioning a broad range of photography
* Experience of art directing portrait photography
* Experience working on still life photography
* Expansive list of contacts (photographers, stylists, picture libraries etc.)
* Excellent organisational, negotiating and interpersonal skills
* Sound knowledge of imagery usage legal requirements
