Join our Child & Family Services team as a Panel Support Officer and become a vital part of the work that supports children, families, and professionals across Swansea. This post is part of Area 3 - Care and Support (Supported Care Planning) and is a permanent, part‑time position (18.5 hours per week).
What is the role all about?
In this fast-paced and rewarding position, you'll play a key part in coordinating and supporting several important panels, including:
* LGM (Legal Gateway Meeting)
* SAP & TOG (Safeguarding Advisory Panel & Threshold Oversight Group)
* Safeguarding/Professional Concerns Panels
* Foster Wales Swansea Panel
* Kinship Panels
Your work will help ensure these panels run smoothly, professionally, and on time—making you an essential link in delivering high‑quality safeguarding and fostering services.
You'll take the lead on a wide range of administrative and coordination tasks, including:
* Organising meetings, booking venues, and sending out invitations.
* Preparing and distributing paperwork, taking accurate minutes, and making sure follow‑up actions are completed.
* Keeping secure, well‑organised records and supporting information management and reporting.
* Communicating confidently with colleagues, stakeholders, and service users.
We're looking for someone who:
* Has a good standard of education and strong IT skills.
* Is highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
* Communicates clearly and takes accurate, professional minutes.
* Works well both independently and within a team.
* Understands the importance of confidentiality, professionalism, and equality.
