Job Role: Community Services Manager
Salary: £35,000
Location: Coventry
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
I am currently working with a fantastic charitable organisation that specialises in the safety of victims of domestic abuse.
As a Community Services Manager, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and leading a team that prioritises the safety of victims of domestic abuse. You will have direct and overall responsibility for staff and clients accessing the service.
Your responsibilities will include the day-to-day management of staff, ensuring effective delivery of services such as risk assessments, safety planning, in-house referrals, and coordination with other agencies and MARAC.
In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of IDVA, Outreach, and Helpline services. Tasks include managing rotas, budgeting, staff training, assisting with benefit claims, using computer systems and CMS, and conducting talks and presentations to local authorities, the public, and partner organisations.
To be successful in this role, you should:
* Have a strong background working with victims of domestic violence and abuse
* Experience working for a non-profit organisation with knowledge of the benefits system
* Be able to produce routine reports and monitoring data for managers, funders, and stakeholders
* Have experience working within social care or welfare settings, adhering to safeguarding guidelines for children and vulnerable adults
* Possess in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children’s Act, Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults, Domestic Violence Crime and Victims Act, Forced Marriages (Civil Protection) Act 2007, and the Domestic Abuse Bill
