ROLE OF THE JOB
You will lead or be part of a team and will carry out highways repairs/maintenance tasks including;
* Modular and block paving
* Laying insitu concrete and associated steel reinforcement
* Associated iron work (i.e., manholes, gully's, valve cases),
* Laying kerb and channels
* Installing and repairing of all types of drainage pipes and systems and operate mechanical jetting plant
* Fitting formwork and shoring-up equipment
* Fitting metal concrete bollards and excavation work.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
* Valid Driving Licence
* Previous experience in Highways and Construction
* NVQ L2 or Equivalent Qualification
* The ability to understand complex detailed spoken and written instructions, as well as plans drawings schedules and calculate work requirements and keep accurate work records.
* Able to plan, organise and prioritise resources and staff, including own time.
