Working 37.5 hours a week, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the medical team at Emerald Place. From managing their diaries and planning meetings to updating records, you will be able to handle various admin-related tasks.
As the Medical Secretary, you will work alongside Registered Clinicians, assisting with confidential paperwork, service users' records, and GP letters. You will liaise with external agencies to obtain up-to-date information on service users and will take the lead in recording blood test results.

As a Medical Secretary, your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting the Registered Clinician with letters and general documentation
• Assisting with meetings as minute taker, chaired by the Medical Director, SMT, or ad hoc
• Typing, checking, and amending documents for spelling and grammatical errors within deadlines
• Participating in the administration, development, and evaluation of regulatory matters
• Coordinating the hospital diary and clinicians' whereabouts
• Booking meetings and arranging conference calls
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience in audio typing
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• A minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent
• Knowledge of mental health and medications

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Elysium Healthcare have collaborated to provide a purpose-built Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Surrey.
Emerald Place Clinic is a general adolescent inpatient unit for young people aged 13 to 18 with primary diagnoses of mental illness across various disorders and complex needs.
Conditions may include Mood Disorders, acute Psychosis, and co-existing needs such as Neurodevelopmental Disorders, including mild Learning Disabilities or Autism. Admission may also be due to disordered eating.
