Senior Supervising Social Worker - North Wales - Independent Fostering Agency
Randstad Care is currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Supervising Social Worker to become a vital part of a small, supportive independent fostering agency operating across North Wales. * Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Essential Requirements
The agency is looking for a qualified professional who can bring expertise and enthusiasm to their team:
* Qualification: Must be a Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England (SWE) or Social Care Wales. Support is available for professionals transferring their registration.
* Experience: A minimum of two years experience in a childrens social work setting, whether within an Independent Fostering Agency (IFA), Local Authority, or NHS.
* Background: Experience in Fostering, Adoption, Looked After Children (LAC), or a CAMHS Therapeutic background encouraged to apply.
* Knowledge: Demonstrable strong knowledge of safeguarding, Care Planning, and effective multi-agency working.
* Skills: Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Driving: Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to own vehicle.
* Welsh language: Desirable but not essential.
Summary of the Role
* The post-holder will be instrumental in maintaining the high standard of care by offering professional supervision and support to foster carers.
* Proactive approach to statutory duties, including complex assessments, care planning, and safeguarding of vulnerable young people.
* Act as a key liaison, building partnerships with Local Authorities and external professionals.
* Play a role in training and development of carers and ongoing quality assurance of fostering provision by sitting on fostering panels.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Supervise and provide in-depth support to a defined caseload of approximately 12 foster carers, including monthly statutory supervision and regular home visits.
* Execute safeguarding, risk assessments, and care planning duties in line with the agencys policies and Social Care Wales standards.
* Attend necessary reviews, professional meetings, and respond to crises in a timely and effective manner.
* Contribute to foster carer annual reviews and prepare and present comprehensive reports to the fostering panel when required.
* Co-lead carer training sessions with the Deputy Manager, the agencys training lead.
* Participate in fostering panels periodically (typically scheduled for Thursdays, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm).
* Foster robust partnerships with local authorities and other multi-agency professionals to ensure joined-up care.
* Champion and uphold the organisations values, centering professional activities on a child-focused, safe, and nurturing approach.
