1-1 Teaching Assistant

£440 - £550 per week

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Folkestone. This is a full-time, long-term role supporting a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The Role
1. Supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis with identified SEND needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech and language delay)
2. Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement personalised learning strategies
3. Encouraging social interaction, emotional development, and academic progress
4. Providing feedback to staff and parents on the pupil’s progress
The Ideal Candidate
5. Experience working with children with SEN in a primary school setting
6. A patient, caring, and proactive approach to learning support
7. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
8. A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification) is desirable but not essential
Requirements
9. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one through Vision for Education)
10. Right to work in the UK
11. References covering the last 2 years
12. Experience supporting SEN
