We are currently partnering with a respected public sector organisation, who are recruiting for an Office Manager to join their team on a three-month temporary contract initially before the role is due to be advertised permanent to which the temporary candidate would be best placed for this role.
This is a full-time role with working hours of Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-4:30pm and Fridays until 4:00pm.
The position offers flexibility to for one to two days working from home, although being office-based five days per week is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, previous office management experience within professional environment and be confident in using Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint to manage administrative systems.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Acting as the main Office Manager, overseeing day-to-day administrative operations across the organisation
2. Managing the welcome desk - greeting visitors, managing enquiries, and ensuring a professional front-of-house experience
3. Coordinating photocopying, printing, and document production requirements across departments
4. Supporting internal and external events, including ordering lunches and coordinating Christmas functions
5. Providing administrative support to the CEO, including gathering papers for meetings and forwarding communications
6. Assisting the Governance Professional by booking meetings, scheduling dates, and managing documentation
7. Supporting the Estates function by checking compliance systems
8. Maintaining accurate records and documentation using SharePoint and Microsoft Office 365
Experience required:
9. Proven experience working as an Office Manager or Office Coordinator
10. Experience supporting senior leadership teams or governance professionals
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
11. Strong organisational and communication skills
12. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint
13. Ability to prioritise competing tasks and maintain accuracy under pressure
14. Professional and approachable manner when dealing with staff, visitors, and external stakeholders
