Business Development Administrative OfficerHoneycomb is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a local government organisation to recruit a Business Development Administrative Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator to join a busy and collaborative team supporting a range of economic development, employability, skills, and regeneration initiatives that positively impact local communities and businesses.The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of funded programmes, stakeholder engagement activities, business events, and employability initiatives while providing high-quality administrative and customer service support.This is a full time temporary role for 3 months, with the possibility of further extension.The CompanyOur client is a progressive public sector organisation committed to supporting economic growth, business development, investment, and skills development across the local area. Through a range of funded programmes and partnerships, the organisation works closely with businesses, residents, educational providers, and community stakeholders to create opportunities and drive sustainable economic development.The RoleAs Business Development Administrative Officer, you will:Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Economic Development and Planning DepartmentSupport the delivery of employability, skills, labour market, and business development programmesValidate, maintain, and monitor programme documentation and participant recordsMaintain databases, dashboards, business directories, spreadsheets, and reporting systemsCoordinate meetings, workshops, seminars, and stakeholder eventsPrepare agendas, reports, presentations, minutes, and supporting documentationManage diaries, meeting logistics, room bookings, and event registrationsProcess purchase orders, invoices, grant payments, refunds, and financial documentationAct as a first point of contact for enquiries from businesses, stakeholders, partners, and members of the publicSupport the administration and promotion of business engagement events, jobs fairs, workshops, and consultation activitiesMaintain accurate electronic and paper filing systems in line with GDPR requirementsAssist with marketing communications, mailshots, and stakeholder engagement activitiesSupport the wider team with programme monitoring, reporting, and compliance requirementsThe PersonEssential Criteria5 GCSEs at Grade A-C (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics.
