Due to business growth and expansion, I have a fantastic opportunity for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join a friendly team in a busy and well-established Chartered Accountants firm.
Job Description for the Semi-Senior Accountant role:
* Preparing statutory accounts for a wide range of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
* Assisting in the planning and execution of audits.
* Preparing management accounts and VAT returns.
* Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and build strong relationships.
* Supporting senior team members with ad hoc assignments.
* Training junior team members as needed.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and professional standards.
* Supporting operational budgets and targets.
Candidate requirements:
* Experience working in an accountancy practice is essential.
* Audit experience is desirable but not essential.
* Part-qualified ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience.
* Strong understanding of year-end accounts preparation and audit procedures.
* Experience in preparing VAT returns and management accounts.
* Confidence in working directly with clients and managing deadlines.
* Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Microsoft Office.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum
