We are seeking a Quality Improvement Manager to join our client in Aberdeen on a full-time and permanent basis.
The role will commence as fully on-site (35 hour working week) and following successful completion of the probation period, you can apply to work up to 2 days per week from home.

Job Purpose:
As the Quality Improvement Manager, you are responsible for leading initiatives to enhance the quality of products, ensuring they meet established standards and regulations. You will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement through trend analysis of the companys non-conformance report (NCR) and corrective action report (CAR) process.
The role involves ensuring across all stages of the companys operation is working effectively to meet the needs of stakeholders and customers across. You will lead the team to improve quality, waste reduction, and best-in-class performance, by focusing on creating a culture of continuous improvement, empowering team members, and utilising lean methodologies to identify and eliminate waste.
You will also manage the after sales process through the companies after sales support database for customer requests whilst also building a system of frequently asked questions (FAQs) for technical support / troubleshooting.
Duties including but not limited to:
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, motivating employees to not only strive to meet compliance standards, but also to exceed them for operating efficiency. Conducting investigations to discover the root cause of compliance problems when they arise.
Coordinate and facilitate strategic improvement initiatives to embed sustainable change and enhance service quality.
Lead targeted product improvement initiative, ensuring alignment with R&D department goals and improving the product range. Manage the improvement project, ensuring actions are delivered within time and ensuring that tangible benefits are identified.
Oversee and continuously enhance quality, health, safety and environment, governance, and risk management frameworks, including audit, assurance, regulatory and legal compliance.
Provide coaching, training, and facilitation to build improvement capability at all levels, empowering staff to drive meaningful change and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
Lead quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC), implement, and maintain quality standards to meet customer and regulatory requirements (ATEX, IECEx, CSA, Inmetro and ISO). Ensure all work is fully documented and traceable. Quality records and documentation are properly compiled, maintained, and provided to clients when required. Support Factory Acceptable Tests with 3rd party inspectors when required.
Drive process improvements, enhance key manufacturing processes including goods inward, production control, corrective action reports (CAR) and non-conformance reporting (NCR).
Audit Management, lead and manage the quality management system audit program, covering customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Analysing data and performance metrics, identify trends, patterns, and areas where improvements can be implemented.
QHSE Competencies:
Responsible for maintaining, applying for product and QHSE certification as required by company and by law.
Provide organisation with reports and information, including analysis and advice as requested in relation to QHSE and improvements.
Lead the QHSE audits and programs.
Maintain behaviours in compliance with QHSE requirements.
Report any unsafe or environmentally unsound acts and conditions to immediate line manager such that remedial action can be taken to manage the risk.
Provide annual leave cover for other members of the team.
Perform other duties and / or tasks as requested to meet business needs
Skills & Experience:
Electrical/Instrumentation engineering experience is preferable. 5 years of energy industry experience in a similar role.
Experience in applying for and maintaining product certification such as ATEX, IECEx etc.
Demonstrates an approachable, professional demeanour. Strong Microsoft office suite skills.
Good organisational and planning skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. Good attention to detail and accuracy.
