Location: Northwest based; hybrid working from home, Chester office and across our pubs

The Role
As a Training Manager at Brunning and Price, you will ensure that our teams receive the knowledge and skills that they need to excel in their roles. Your main focus will be on developing and implementing comprehensive training programmes tailored to various roles within our pubs, both front and back of house. By nurturing our employees' talents and promoting a learning culture, you will contribute to their professional growth, job satisfaction, and ultimately, the success of our business.
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with Pub Managers, Head Chefs and senior leaders to identify training needs and design effective programmes to address them.
2. Design and develop training, including online training materials, guides, and visual aids, to create engaging and informative learning experiences.
3. Deliver training sessions both in-person and through digital platforms, ensuring that content is engaging, interactive, and easily digestible.
4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives, collecting feedback and making necessary adjustments to continuously improve the programmes.
5. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to ensure our training programmes are innovative and engaging.
6. Assist with the induction process for new starters, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
7. Build relationships with pub teams to build a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
8. Coach high potential individuals, designing bespoke Personal Development Plan to progress their career.
9. Manage and administer a programme of legislative courses, including booking venues and trainers, and managing course attendance.
10. Management of apprenticeship programmes.
Requirements
11. Proven experience in learning and development in the hospitality industry is essential.
12. Substantial operational knowledge of the hospitality industry and in-depth knowledge of food, cask ales and wine will be a distinct advantage.
13. Experience of delivering management or leadership programmes
14. Creative flare in writing engaging and impactful training content.
15. Meticulous attention to detail particularly in relation to written materials.
16. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
17. Ability to adapt training techniques to various learning styles and preferences.
18. Outstanding organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
19. Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and e-learning platforms.
20. Flexible and adaptable approach, with a willingness to travel to various locations as needed.
21. IT skills – proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
22. Qualification – AET, CIPD, or equivalent training or coaching qualification. Insights Discovery accreditation is desirable.
23. Full UK driving licence.
