CNC Programmer Location: Newbury, Berkshire
Salary: £50,000 £55,000 (dependent on experience)

The CNC Programmer Role An established, high-precision manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Offline 5-Axis CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to support the production of complex, tight-tolerance components in a quality-driven environment.
This is a hands-on role, combining offline CNC programming with machine setup and operation. Youll play a key part in process development, programme validation, fixturing, and continuous improvement, working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities Offline programming, setting and operation of 4-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines
Validate and optimise CNC programs offline prior to shop floor release
Create and maintain technical documentation including setup sheets, SOPs and LWIs
Support manufacturability and quoting reviews for new components
Set and run development work and production batches
Use probing, calibration routines and datum/workplane alignment effectively
Skills & Experience Required Proven experience programming, setting and operating 4-axis and 5-axis CNC machines
Strong understanding of machining complex components to tight tolerances
Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including GD&T
Experience with probing cycles, tool setting and work offset control
Solid grounding in tooling, tool life management and process control
Desirable Experience Experience with Edgecam (preferred)
Exposure to Vericut
Heidenhain and/or Fanuc CNC controls
