We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate Dispatch Team Leader to join our Dispatch team in Cramlington.
The Dispatch Team Leader will be required to work a 12:30pm-8:30pm shift, Monday to Friday.
Annual Salary is £29,500
Duties include the following yet others may be assigned to the needs of the business:
* Work and supervise and lead a team of dispatchers, providing guidance, training, and support
* Schedule and assign dispatch tasks to team members
* Monitor and track dispatch activities, to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise
* Effectively communicate with other departments to optimise dispatch operations and improve overall efficiencies
* Assist in in recruiting, training, and evaluating dispatch team members
* Implement and enforce standard operating procedures for dispatch operations
* Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
* Help maintain a high level of safety, cleanliness and organisation around the workplace
* Comply with all company and HSE Health and Safety rules
* To abide by and support the company’s ISO 9001 QMS
Requirements
* Proven experience in dispatching, logistics or a similar role
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent organizational and communication skills
* Strong problem-solving and decision making skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
* Available to work overtime when required
* Able to work shifts if required
* Able to lift up to 25kg
