Job Description:
The Real Property Services Administrator 1, under the general direction of a Real Property Services Administrator 2, performs the following duties:
1. Manage at least one bureau within the Office of Real Property Tax Services.
2. Inspire staff to perform assigned tasks to achieve bureau goals and ensure effective utilization of resources.
3. Develop staff through mentoring, coaching, and training opportunities.
4. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with staff, local government officials, taxpayers, and management.
5. Oversee the development of work plans, priorities, and schedules; monitor staff performance to meet performance measures.
6. Understand and adhere to real property tax laws, keeping staff informed of changes.
7. Ensure quality and timeliness of all external communications.
8. Respond to local government officials to resolve complex matters related to real property tax administration.
9. Participate in efforts to modernize computer systems used by the Office of Real Property Tax Services.
10. Represent the Office during State Board meetings, hearings, and association meetings.
11. Assist in implementing policy and legislative changes.
12. Contribute to training material preparation and delivery for staff and external customers.
13. Travel as needed for conferences, training, and meetings with Regional Office staff.
14. Lead or participate in special projects and perform other relevant duties.
15. Follow all Department policies and attendance rules.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must be eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law or be on the appropriate eligible list for this role and location, according to Civil Service Law, Rules, and Regulations.
