NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this post is full‑time with out of hours.
This is a fixed‑term post from August 2026 to August 2027.
Qualifications
* Post FY Level: Minimum 6 months of junior resident Orthopaedic experience (post FY2 level in UK) within the past 2 years.
* General Medicine junior resident SHO experience in the past 3 years.
Requirements for the Specialty Doctor
* Shall have full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council (GMC).
* Shall have completed at least four years of full‑time postgraduate training (or equivalent gained on a less than full‑time or flexible basis) at least two of which were in a specialty training programme or specialty registrar locum appointment for training (LAT).
* Shall have equivalent training, experience or competencies, either in the UK or overseas.
