Responsibilities
* Building positive relationships with the boys and serving as a trusted mentor and role model
* Implementing individualised care plans and behaviour management strategies
* Facilitating engaging activities and workshops to promote personal growth and development
* Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for each student
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with our policies and procedures
* Complete a 4-week period as a SEN Teaching Assistant to ensure suitability and consistency for the pastoral team, gaining classroom experience and familiarising yourself with our approach to supporting students with SEMH needs
Qualifications
* A genuine passion for working with young people and making a difference in their lives
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
* A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (desirable)
Benefits
* Competitive salary of £14 - £18 per hour for temporary positions, with potential for a permanent role
* Permanent role salary £22,547-£24,458 per annum plus a £1,344 sleep-in allowance
