Job Description
* The Agile Release Train (ART) Engineer is responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating cross-functional teams to deliver complex programs and projects aligned with business objectives.
* This role blends traditional project management practices with agile methodologies to ensure successful program execution, stakeholder alignment, and enterprise governance.
* The ART Engineer works closely with executives, business units, and IT teams to drive delivery excellence across multiple initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Analyze project proposals to determine timeframes, funding considerations, and appropriate delivery approaches.
* Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities.
* Provide leadership and motivation to project teams throughout the lifecycle.
* Establish work plans, staffing strategies, and release or iteration schedules.
* Implement and manage project communication plans.
* Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
* Monitor project activities to ensure quality, integrity, and consistency in reporting and documentation.
* Assign responsibilities and define scope of authority for project personnel.
* Direct and coordinate project activities to ensure timely and budget‑aligned delivery.
* Create and distribute status reports to stakeholders.
* Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
* Plan, lead, and manage cross‑functional projects of medium to high complexity.
* Lead daily program execution, including scope, schedule, and delivery criteria.
* Champion project and program management best practices.
* Lead interactions with executive sponsors to maintain alignment and shared program vision.
* Establish and ensure program governance in accordance with enterprise policies.
* Direct the creation and maintenance of program documentation and artifacts.
* Develop and manage program budgets and expenditures.
* Ensure appropriate skill alignment and resource availability across teams.
* Lead stakeholder reviews and address identified needs.
* Maintain stakeholder mapping, communications, and reporting strategies.
* Monitor cross‑project dependencies and resolve conflicts.
* Provide guidance on contractor and professional service provider engagement within the program.
* Support program committee and board meeting planning and execution.
* Lead highly complex or enterprise‑wide programs requiring integration across multiple teams and departments.
Requirement/Must Have
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
* Extensive IT work experience, including demonstrated experience in project coordination roles.
* Experience working with business units or in business‑facing roles.
* Experience managing projects involving one or more technology or functional domains.
* Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques.
* Ability to blend traditional project management principles with agile development practices.
* Experience interacting with business and IT stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executives.
Should Have
* PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent certification.
