We are recruiting for Nurse Team Leader who share our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals with relevant experience in Acute or Emergency Care, to come and work for the newly designed, Acute Medical Services Team within the UEC.

As a Nurse Team Leader this role will be essentially clinical, managing flow, triage and clinical assessment of medical patients coming from GP services, the emergency department and SDEC
This post will require rotation on to night duty.

Main duties of the job
The Nurse Team Leader post is a vital and valued role within the multi-disciplinary team. Based in the Acute medical Services Assessment and Acute medical services SDEC teams, they provide expertise and compassionate leadership in the delivery of high quality and safe patient-centred care and support an open culture of continuous learning for all.
As a Nurse Team Leader, you will ensure that patient care is of the highest possible standard and provide advice and support to all staff working in the area.
You will be responsible for the development, monitoring andauditing of standards for use in the clinical area. Ensuring that care delivered in the clinical area is of the highest quality, supported by research and in accordance with local and national policies, procedures and Guidelines.
Working in collaboration with other key staff in the clinical group, maintain effective use of capacity and resources including timely and effective admission and discharge.

Qualifications/Training
* Registered nurse on part 1 or part 12 of the NMC register
* Evidence of professional development and commitment to life long learning
* Ability to produce personal professional portfolio
* ATLS, ALS, ILS and ATNC
Previous Experience
* Demonstrable experience within a busy urgent and emergency care environment
* Demonstrable experience as a registered nurse at Band 5
* Evidence of effective leadership
* Evidence of excellent and motivational teaching skills
* Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of settings with patients, relatives, carers, senior leaders and other members of staff of varying levels of understanding
* Ability to work to deadlines in a highly pressurised environment
